63cm Grail Bike for Trade?
Just picked this up and testing the waters for possible trades. Hoping for a 54-56cm comparable touring/sport touring bike. May consider a race bike if something off the charts. Let me know what you have and what you have in mind.
BTW - it's a 1983 TREK 720, 25". Photos are as found. Should cleanup nicely.

Looks like the PO upgraded to Cyclone MKII derailleurs and swapped out the bar to Specialized. Is it still sporting the helicomatic hub?

Wheels have also been upgraded to Cyclone hubs laced to Regida rims with a 6 speed Perfect freewheel. Front spokes have quite a bit of surface rust and will be a fun little project to clean OR the perfect opportunity to convert to 700c?
Overall paint is in good condition with the few scrapes and scratches you'd expect. Decal is starting to crack/peel and can probably use some refurbishing/replacing.

Hmmm... too bad you don’t live closer. I have a 56cm ‘85 Nashbar Touré that doesn’t fit. 25.5 would fit. And a 700c conversion would be fab.

I'm on the wrong coast, but I have a 54x54 Benotto 3000, if that would be of interest.

Thanks everybody. Some great racing frames being offered up but have decided to hold out for the right “all arounder” sport/touring bike in the right size. Please keep the offers coming.

Did you think about putting it on the “frame doesn’t fit” thread? Not everyone peruses the for sale listings looking for trades, I imagine.

Great suggestion, I will post there now. Originally I thought this section would be more appropriate since I'm more interested in trading entire bikes vs frames but you bring up a very good point. Thanks.

Update
New photos after a quick cleaning in preparation to list on feeBay. Nobody has a Cannondale ST or T series that's too small for them out there?

What is the price if you are selling outright? Willing to ship?

Really prefer a trade and actually have something in the works but if that doesn't work out, I'll list for my "Make me sell it now" price which is right around what others have previously sold for, $650 + shipping. Even once listed, will still give preference to interesting trade proposals.

Nice bike. I have an 82 Trek 728. The 83 came with some nice upgrades over the 82 like cantilever instead of centerpull brakes, low-rider brazeons, nicer looking brake levers. Hope it goes to a good home.:-)
