Spring cleaning - brakes, Shimano 105 group, saddles, plus

Brooks saddle still available. Everything else sold.

I am going to try and avoid taking too many pictures of stuff that no one is interested in. If you want any more pictures feel free to ask.

NOS Brooks Swallow saddle, Black, large rivets, from the 80's I think, original box. $100 plus shipping

Selle San Marco Race Gel saddle. Excellent shape. $25 plus shipping.

MKS Sylvan pedals. Great shape. No scrapes on caps. $10 plus shipping

Shimano 105 crank. 172.5 arms. Biopace rings. Finish is a bit rough but no major gouges or scratches. $10 plus shipping

Shimano 105 brakes and levers. Recessed bolts. Levers in good shape with good hoods. $45 plus shipping

Avocet seatpost. 27.2. $5 plus shipping.
Unknown brand seatpost. Long. 27.2 $5 plus shipping.

Universal CX brakes and levers in good shape. Nice milling on levers. No hoods. Nutted pivots. $45 plus shipping.

Zeus 2001 brakes and levers. Recessed nuts. No hoods. On lever has pretty bad rash. $45 plus shipping.

1980 Campagnolo NR rear derailleur. Decent shape. Has some rash on pivot bolts and body. $35 plus shipping.

1979 Campagnolo SR rear derailleur. Fair shape. Lots of rash on pivots. The pivots look like NR pivots to me not SR titanium pivots. $30 plus tipping.

I will have an Avocet crank (2 actually) and an Avocet headset coming up for sale in the next day or two. If you are looking for Avocet stuff.

Late 1978 and 1979 SR RDs were apparently shipped with aluminum mount and pivot bolts. From the Classic Rendezvous list archives:

"Campagnolo did deliver a number of factory Super Record derailleurs from1978 thru 1979 that had alloy pivot bolts. It has been suggested that this was due to titanium supply problems, but there have never been any confirmation of this from the factory as far as I know, but it would seem quite reasonable to think that they might have been used as a temporary stop-gap measure. I can say that I first saw them on a SR equipped Colnago Oro showbike in 1979 at the Long Beach show. I also was told by a dealer in Marina del Rey that he was advised by Campagnolo USA that due to the limited supply of Ti bolt SR derailleurs, they were to be sold at a higher price and the "Superleggera" alloy bolt version was to be sold at less than the Ti version or at the "old price."

many 1979 Campagnolo Super Record rear mech's had aluminum pivot bolts, lighter, cheaper, easier to machine, ti was in short supply and expensive.

Thanks guys. This is a '79 so that makes sense. Definitely aluminum pivot bolts and not Ti. And pretty badly scratched.

My SR rear mech has aluminum bolts, didn't phase me in the least, TI is exotic stuff that has some weaknesses in its properties I am leery about. The old Soviet sourced stuff could be really brittle.
