FS: 1986 Club Fuji

Hello!

I'm advertising a 1986 Club Fuji equipped with a last generation Suntour Cyclone 12-speed drive train. It's in great cosmetic condition with minor scuffs to be found on the paint, decals, and components, but nothing serious at all. It functions beautifully but is in need of a minor tune-up. This Cyclone group is one of the last and best non-indexed friction groups to ever hit the market! I've taken this Fuji out for a couple of dozen rides and always enjoyed it - one of the last was a 138 mile solo ride that I completed in ten hours. It was definitely the most reliable vintage bicycle I've ever owned... Alas, I'm just too interested in keeping around a handful of older and less practical bikes for aesthetic reasons!

The frame is made from Fuji's VALite butted tubing, and the seat tube measures 59cm center-to-center with a 57.5cm top tube. According to the 1986 Fuji catalog, this must be the "61cm" frame size, which is what you get from the center of the bottom bracket to the very tip top of the tube where the seat post enters.

Other components include Dia-Compe AGC aero levers and brakes, a 95mm Nitto stem and Nitto Olympiade handlebars, what I believe is a Fuji seat post and a vinyl covered Fuji saddle that has a small hole near the back. The hubs are SR laced to Araya 700c rims fitted with Continental Ultra 2000 23c tires that are near the end of their useful life.

There is a set of accessories shown in the last photo, including matching Suntour Cyclone pedals and what appear to be NOS Mira stainless steel toe clips, white Fuji toe straps, and all of the original reflectors and a black water bottle cage.

The price is $300 and that includes shipping within the continental United States (lower 48). Local pickup price is $200.

-Gregory
