WTB: Wheelset for loaded touring-- 9 Speed Campy compatible hub?
Not totally a CV pursuit, but thought I'd post in case someone has a wheelset looking for a home.
I'm looking to change out some of the drive train on my touring bike, which I use for loaded touring. Had a pair of 40H/36H vintage 27" original wheels. Looking to go to 700s (canti brakes will adjust to make it possible) but needs to be pretty stout, solid set that could take a campy 9 speed cassette.

I have a pair of Campy Chorus 8sp wheels, laced to silver Mavic Open Pros. If they would fit the bill, drop a PM. I may have some 8s shifters too, if that would be of interest.

I'm curious but why 9 speed campy for touring on a vintage touring bike originally set up for 27 inch wheels? Do you have the parts for this campy build?
Shimano is more common and then you'd have the choice between 7 speed freewheel or a cassette if you want 8 or 9. Plus 110/74 bcd cranks (Shimano or Suntour) are the bee's knees for touring.

Hi, yes, I picked up a super clean 9 speed drive train with long cage RDR and shifters for build and would love to try it out for touring. The rear spacing was already spaced to 130 before I got the frame, so it would fit.
