WTS: Two BIG Chrome Mongoose ATB Framesets
Two nice big vintage ATB framesets offered here. These should make nice limos.
#1 : I believe this one is a 21.5" 1985 ATB PRO, with roller cam brake studs. It measures about 21.5" center-to-top on the seat tube, and about 23" center-to-center on the top tube. PHOTOS SOLD
#2 : I think is a 22.5" 1986 ATB, with cantilever studs. It measures about 22.5" center-to-top on the seat tube, and about 23" center-to-center on the top tube. PHOTOS
Dropouts appear to be spaced 126mm/100mm. Seatposts seems to be about 25.4mm, but I am not sure. Both frames have some tarnish and have some light surface rust at the joints, particularly in the BB area. No dents or damage that I can find. Condition is good for what they are and they should clean up pretty well. These have been in storage for many years so I have no experience with them. What you see is what you get except I will pull the BB out of the PRO before shipping.
The price is$100 $75 each, plus shipping of $30/west $50/east coast $50/west $65/east. Buyer covers fees, if any.

Ha, I have a serious issue- I just sold a 22.5" chrome Ross MTB frame because I didnt use it enough(hardly ever). Yet I just clicked into here and thought about how cool it would be to have that 22.5" Mongoose frame.

I just bought your chrome Ross MTB frame, it is sitting in the work stand and I clicked on the 22.5 in Mongoose and thought how cool it would be to have it.

Any idea if they take a standard one inch stem or a 21.1 bmx stem? I had an older mongoose that I loved but it took the 21.1 stem.

There are plenty of solutions to this but it is nice to know in advance that you can't just pop a Nitto Dirt Drop in there and call it done. My Mongoose commuter was stolen but I liked it enough that if I had not recently bought an old Specialized Hard Rock to replace it, I would be all over the bigger frame.

What size wheels are these? And what size tire will it that fit. I am interested in the cantilever frame.

howdy - did you sell the canti-version yet?
a couple of questions I didn't see answers to:
1. 26in wheels ? (assuming typical cantilever brakes and not something like Paul Moto lights that might let a person run 650b)
2. Can you measure the rear spacing? Your advert says "appears".
- I broke my Rock Hopper a couple of months ago. A friend said he would give his MTB frame. ... a couple of months ago...
And with the C19 flu stay home stuff I don't have it, or so I’m looking for a frameset (26in wheel rim brake, spaced at 135mm) to hang all the parts on.
I think that's it. Maybe someone will buy this when I bump the advert and my friend will drop off his frame. That would be nice.
ciao.

Both frames are still available. Same price ($75 each) but shipping cost have risen substantially since I originally posted this. Now $50/west $65/east.

Roller cam frame is sold and shipped. The other one is still available, note that it takes "backwards" cantilevers (with the pins to the outside). Alternatively, if anyone has any such brakes available I might be interested in buying them.
