Vetta (NOS?) royal blue/purple seat

$30 shipped.

Unusual color. I bought for a specific project then traded the frameset off.

Has marks, but they look like shop wear vs. butt wear. Note the thin rub-out in the rear. Pics show any/all defects I can find.

...

I'll toss in the NOS steel clamp if you want it.

So, are we looking at a suede saddle?

If/when I get the stuck SP out of my grey speckled Karakoram I plan on going purple- black with it.

I will keep watch on this.

Fellow owner of a grey splatter Karakoram here. Bought it new in 1989. IMO, that generation Karakoram is a better townie bike now than it was a mountain bike then. Always slightly heavy and the clearances barely cleared a Panaracer Smoke 2.0. I raced it back in the day and constantly dealt with mud build up in the stays. Now though, it comparatively has more of a road feel that can easily service a 40 mile gravel ride.

Good luck with the pillar.

Thanks! It’s coming out one way or ‘ nother. Would like to save the post if I can. True the frame weight surprised me compared to the 91 Karakoram elite I have. But in 89 I guess they were still building frames like they were all going to be abused like BMX bikes. Slightly overbuilt and heavy duty. This is leading my build decisions for this ride, a road mtb-ish SS or 1X.

Changing direction with the GT build so the Vetta is still up for grabs.

Good luck with the Sale!

Those Vetta saddles are very nice. Definitely underrated or not very well known I'd say. GLWTS!
