FS: 1986 Schwinn High Sierra frameset + extras - $100
SOLD
Asking$135 $100 for this 1986 Schwinn High Sierra frame and fork plus extras. This one has the cool lugged unicrown fork and has rear and front braze-ons for full loaded touring. Color is two-tone "Sahara bronze and sable brown" (per Schwinn catalogue). Some paint chips and rubs and one larger scuff on left fork leg, but besides that the frame is in great condition (see pictures).
In terms of extras, you'll get a pair of almost new, already installed Suntour XC Sport Roller Cam brakes, along with lightly used Kool Stop pads. In addition, you'll get an almost-new Shimano cartridge bearing bottom bracket, already installed. I can also throw in the set of wheels I was using - a lightly used Shimano AceraX/Sun TL18 wheelset with Panaracer Ripp Johnson tires, with hubs recently serviced, for an additional $50. Comes with 7 speed Shimano cassette and skewers.
Shipping will probably be $25-45 via bikeflights depending on where you are. If you are also buying the wheels add a little more on to that.
Seat tube: 19"(48mm) CTC
Top tube: 23" (585mm) CTC
Rear dropout spacing: 135mm
Seatpost size: 26.0mm
Brake mounting: U-brake or roller cam compatible bosses on fork and seatstays
Braze-ons: 2 sets bottle bosses, full cable guides, seat stay rack mounts, 2 eyelets at rear dropouts, two eyelets at front dropouts, mid-fork eyelets for low riders
Headset standard: JIS
Bottom bracket standard: 68mm BSA
Rear dropout style: Semi-horizontal with spacers
Frame construction: TIG-welded frame with lugged unicrown fork
Optional wheelset

Is that headtube cut at an angle? Sorry, inquiring minds and all that.

If it was an 85 I would take it off your hands. I'm not a fan of the roller brakes.
