WTB: Atom/Maillard/Spidel Pedal Dustcap Wrench
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5f9041949c.jpg
Originally, Atom 600/700 pedals used a faceted pedal dust cap with 6 wrench flats. This was replaced with a round, serrated edge dust cap that looks like Mikashima and Campagnolo road pedals. It is not. Those wrenches have an internal diameter of 25.4 mm and the French dust caps, which look identical, are 23.4ish or slightly less. So, anybody got one of the French wrenches for sale or loan? I have 2 pairs of pedals needing re-building and am reluctant to chew them up with slip jaw pliers. And yes, these wrenches really do exist as there is currently one available as part of a NOS pedal purchase but $200 is a bit much. Thanks. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1514949314.jpg |

I'm curious. I own a set of Atom 600s and a set of 700s and managed to service both with no problems but then mine have flats. |
bikemig-
Same here. I've had 700s and 600s before. Flat faceted caps, a little fiddly to undo but rebuildable, no problem. Bought these because I had a Campy wrench and a Mikashima so I was all set. WRONG! |
