ISO: a single brake lever City style

SEARCH IS OVER

looking for a cheap single brake lever in City style. condition don't matter much as long as functioning. willing to clean up & polish if bad.
it's for 23.8mm (not 22.2mm) clamp, or with somewhat flexible clamp (will improvise if 22.2 is only option). has to be silver, no painted.
pls LMK

something like this

If you come up empty, VO has a nice 23.8mm set available for not much money, $18 a pair. I have a set and liked them when I had them on a bike. (I might use them again, so mine aren't for sale, unfortunately.)

Search the archives of this for-sale forum. I've seen those types of brake levers advertised and AFAIK they were still available a few months ago. I was considering getting 'em myself if I can't fix my old Shimano Exage modular brake/thumb shifter assemblies.

Use "cherry" as a search term. I seem to recall the seller using that term to describe the brake levers due to the anodized red highlights on the chromed city style brake levers.

I tried to to attach a clamp from 23.8 road lever to a Weinmann 22.2 city lever. The body of the road lever is much wider, the nut for the clamp won't fit inside of the city lever. I tried using the nut from the 22.2 lever with 23.8 clamp, that doesn't work. I can't see any way to convert the clamp on the 22.2 lever to 23.8.

Maybe you can figure something out. If you're interested in the Weinmann lever I'll post a picture.

@orangeology, I found a single DiaCompe city lever in the bin, but it doesn’t have a band clamp. Glad to send it if you PM me your address. The body is fairly narrow, so probably made for a 22.2 clamp.

I never could get those old Shimano Exage thumb shifters working again, and the original brakes look odd without the shifter modules bolted on. Good brakes but combining the mounting plate for the thumbies makes them look peculiar without the shifters.
