WTB: Gunnar Crosshairs Frameset (58cm)
Always a longshot to be this specific, but this forum has always been the best place to look! I'm on the hunt for a 58cm Gunnar Crosshairs frameset -- any model year, and my preference is for one with a steel fork. I'm essentially looking to move parts over from my '83 Schwinn Voyageur SP, which is a great tourer but not a great 'go fast' bike. I know that depending on the year, Gunnar's are made with either True Temper OX Platinum, or Reynolds 853 (or even a mix of both). The geometry and tire clearance is also fairly consistent over the last 15-20 years, and is exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm willing to take a hit on international shipping (it's how I got my Voyageur), especially if the frame is in reasonable condition. So -- who's holding?
Pic for reference (this one has a Soma replacement fork, but add a rando rack and it matches my build plan):

Scottybigs any idea what fenders are shown in your photo that is not your photo? Kind of looks like VO fenders. https://velo-orange.com/collections/...e-fenders-700c
I am not intending to torture or anything, but no-way no-how am I ever giving up my GUNNAR (" from my cold, dead hands!!!!" ~ to take Charlton Heston out of context)
- Mr. Schwinn added braze ons to the fork so I can eventually add a front rack to support a bag, "Jan Heine" style.
I tried to put some plastic fenders I had on hand on my GUNNAR, but the chain-stay bridge is too close to the bottom bracket shell, so the fender was going to have to cut an arc through the seat tube. I've been putting off hacking the fenders (or investigating different fenders).

Yes, I have the same sense about my Gunnar Crosshairs. That bike will pass from me by way of my will.

Something like this?

Yeah, they are very nice bikes.
Mine is my main ride for dirt roads and steep climbs to the high country.

Mine is also not for sale (and a larger size anyway).

Annnnd 3 for 3 -- you folks are really making me want one now! That build is very similar to what I'm trying to achieve. I like that it clears 38mm tires with fenders, giving me the option to remove fenders and keep a 2nd wheelset with knobby tires for gravel. Rene Herse tires all the way.
