Mondonico built Torelli frameset. 62c-c - Columbus EL-OS. 90’s
Near mint frameset for sale:
90’s era Torelli Nitro Express made by Mondonico for Torelli.
Seat tube: 62 cm c-c
Top tube: 59.5 cm c-c
Italian BB threading
130mm rear spacing
Columbus EL-OS tubing with chrome EL fork. Pinned lugs (typical of Mondonico)
The frameset shows signs of light use, but is in spectacular overall condition.
$750 $675 plus actual shipping cost. Paypal or Zelle accepted.

Bump so I can ask a question. Is the cutout in the bottom bracket the give-away that it is Mondonico-built? Is there any other way to tell?
100% not a challenge, just me hoping to learn something. Thanks.

Same - not an expert, but going off of what has been passed on from the person who sold me the bike and interwebs research. The seat tube/top tube cluster is also in line with Mondonico.
Everything that I can find lines up. Mondonico made these for Bob (owner of Torelli) during the 90’s and early 2000’s.
The frame has been treated with a gray “framesaver” type product.
I wanted this frame to work, but the TT was too long for me.
According to the previous owner, it was ridden infrequently by him (also a fit issue), and the original owner (who he bought it from) kept it as a wall hanger for the most part.
It is a gorgeous frame. Too bad it is not the right fit for me.
I never rode the bike - I did my measurements, considered a shorter stem, but ultimately stripped the Record 9 speed components and put them on a 58cm Merckx with a 57cm top tube.
EL-OS is my favorite tubing, so it pains me to part with the frame. It will make someone very happy

Bump, price drop.
I’d prefer to sell this to a fellow BF member than on eBay
