Good luck. There are a lot of Helico Matic haters out there (not without reason). I have a wheel that works fine, but it may be hanging in the garage long after I pass.

You either love 'em or hate 'em. I'm on the love end or it, I've never had issues with them grenading, and it seems like less than 0.001% of others I've talked to have seen it happen.
I will say, the tools are hard to get for under $10-12 shipped and the bottle opener is a nice perk. The locknuts cost about the same. All-in-all, not a bad deal. If there was a matching front, I'd be tempted.

Yes, I haven't used these for years and had them sitting in a box. I had been running Campy hubs. I thought they were a matched set of Maillard 700's and was sourly disappointed when I saw the rear was not. I just knew these were getting a little harder to find with everything so thought I'd throw it up here. The 700 Maillard front hub went in minutes. :-) The freewheel is in really good shape.

And as a bonus to the buyer.....I have a 5 speed heliocomatic freewheel that I will pass on to the buyer for the price of postage. FW body is fine, I just don’t have a hub to go with it or the inclination to build another wheel right now. This has been listed on the pay it forward page but no takers

And like that, and offer from Pay It Forward. As that was the first request, I will honor that and remove the package offer with the hub.

Received the set tonight and very happy, will seek a spare lock ring (just incase).
