"Super rare vintage Shimano 600 (same design as the Dura Ace version) AX SP 7322 Aero seatpost.
I believe this was originally designed by Shimano for frames made of Tange Aero tubing bikes (similar to Columbus Air tubing but a different profile, although I've seen people shim these to make it work).
Signs of use but good condition."

Upon closer inspection it's not scotch tape but the tape used for rub points of the cable housing. I'll leave it on the frame to give its new owner the decision on removal.
