WTB Steel Cyclocross Frame 52-54
Looking for an 1980s Steel CX frame from 52 to 54cm.
126mm rear and English threaded would be preferred.
Any out there?
Thanks.

I looked a long time for a vintage cross bike in my size until I found a Pinarello cross. They're out there but they will be hard to find. Also it might be easier to find an Italian threaded cross than an English threaded one. Depending on how badly you want to find one, you might want to look at eBay Netherlands or Belgium where cross bikes were more of a thing than in the US at least in the 80s. A 650b conversion on a quality road bike may also give you what you are looking for.

I had to go to the European market to find one. Mid range quality tubing from MBK. Saw a few pricier ones but wanted a cheaper gravel grinder more than anything.
Be sure they specify 700c wheels...some models look like cyclo cross but are actually deceptively road bike looking mountain bikes.

Found a Gitane on Lebecoin but he doesn’t answer my messages.
Pinarello made great cross bikes. I have had an Allen but they only made it a season or so, can’t imagine after all these years riding one around. I had a Peugeot touring bike I raced.

I was happy to find this bike and it did take me a while. The bike came to me with a hodgepodge of parts. I'll fix it up later this year once my garage is no longer a deep freeze!
