I am grateful this is not my size. I neither need nor want another bike but this one in my size would have been hard to turn down.

GLWS.

Interesting. I have a c.'72 Frejus with the typical Legnano seat lug and pinch bolt; and now here's a Legnano ala Frejus.
Kind of glad it's small for me, but now I have to be on the lookout for a larger one.

I don't have a close-up, but my Frejus has the typical Legnano seat binder in front of the seat tube, rather than behind. Legnano and Frejus were both owned by Bozzi at this time. Your Legnano uses the typical Frejus seat lug.

(This bike now has more appropriate hoods and bar tape )

.
Frejus started in 1896 by Emmo Ghelfi and in about 1946-1948 (depending where you read on the internet), he sold it to Emilio Bozzi who at the time owned the Wolsit and Legnano brands, Production of Frejus moved from Torino to Milano in the early 50s, much to the chagrin of the Torinese. They still hold the grudge today.

Frejus and Legnano kept their respective seat clusters until the early 70s. Then with the bike boom, they just made everything they could with what they had. By the early 80s they sold to Bianchi.
