No pic, even when quoting.
Edit: No post either, for that matter.

because they are sold, as noted in the Reason For Editing:
in a previous life, a seller (original poster) could simply delete their entire posting/thread, but that feature got removed on a sitewide basis.
in another previous life, in the forum rules, it said to report the (sold) thread to the mods, and they would delete it. after i repeatedly tried that, i got shut down by a couple mods, who basically said it was too much work for them to do that (granted, i reported several at a time, so....), and to simply mark the ad as sold and move on. they also slightly changed the wording in the rules section to reflect this. SELLING A BIKE or COMPONENTS ? Read This FIRST
so that's what i do now when an item sells. there is no reason to keep the text and pics after the item has reached the buyer and they are satisfied (or any issues worked out, which rarely happens to me).
there was a site feature that was kind of nice, that after 30 days of inactivity a thread would drop off. SELLING A BIKE or COMPONENTS ? Read This FIRST
i had that happen to me a couple times, and i wondered where the heck my ad went. wasn't a big deal after i realized what was going on.
however, that feature was also apparently removed or deactivated from the site, as there are tons of ads that are more than 30 days old with no activity, and, well, the classifieds has become the "thread storage locker" they, at one time, were trying to avoid.

I personally find it interesting to see completed sales. It helps me keep tabs on fair prices. Changing the font to “strike through” and adding “sold to the item’s description is a very visible way of indicating something is sold.
But it’s your thread, so far be it from me..
