WTB 1” fork for 26” wheels.

I am Replacing an old suspension fork on an old salvaged MTB. short head tube.
looking for Rider quality, it does not have to be pretty, but I prefer straight legs with clearance for 2.15s or so.
Thanks

"straight legs?" - a straight fork? that I do not have. did bike builders do that with fully rigid MTBs with 26in wheels?

here's what I do got:
are you able to cut & thead a longer steerer tube?
this frame cracked around the bottombrack and started to tear the seat tube and down tube. so it's hanging in my garage.
i cut the fork crown down for a new headset. (you know..... before the frame broke..... not. like i put a new headset in a broken frame..... just to clarify....)

for an extra million American dollars I can probably include the head set pictured.....

cheers.

that looks good.
Does the million dollar headset make my cadence better or give me the ability to avoid obstacles I do not know are there?
if so that may be of interest as well, maybe a partial trade? I may have some chainrings and brakes guaranteed to make you go faster, or slower, kind of randomly, those might be worth 500k or so.

What length steerer?

I'm going to be offering this one up soon. ~129mm steerer.

I have several 559 forks of various steerer lengths; most are tange/better, and at least one of them has mid-blade eyelets for racks. LMK?

Not uncommon in the late '80s. Nishiki comes to mind.

Syncros, and I think Kona perhaps made a few 1" steerers. Certainly in 1 1/8".

Yea, that’s kind what I’m going for.
an old school mountain bike/ klunker kind of bike just for fun and pretending I’m 12 again.

that's how I abuse my rattle-canned Bianchi I got for $60 of FB-marketplace (then spend about $200 on various maintenance and comfort items).
drop me a note if the purple fork is of interest. looks like you have a lot of straight forks to choose from.
enjoy!

that’s pretty cool.
Didn’t Haro make some like that where the chain and wheels could come off without breaking the chain?
I want that frame.

Haro and Nishiki (Alien and some years of the Ariel) made enough that you might find one. Alpinestars is less well known but also did an elevated chainstays bike. Good luck!
