WTB Domed-top aluminum seatpost

Greetings and salutations good people of C&V. I have had no luck in the wild, so now I ask here. I would like to purchase (or trade if my janky old crap is appealing to you) an aluminum domed-top seatpost with no fluting or other brand marks. Simple and plain please. I can make do with anything from 26.6-27.2. Below is a picture for reference. Thank you.

Are these pretty rare birds? I haven't come across an alloy one.

I might have one as well--will check when I'm home later today.

Edit: I’m afraid the one in my stash is steel.

does it have to be domed or would an alloy post with flat sealed top work (which I may have unless it got sold)?

Okay, found it rather quickly this time: it's a 27.2 and not perfectly flat on top, that has a very slight curve. More modern than I thought (so could be I have another that's more "vintage" but won't know until I search some more) This is marked "SR", JAPAN and 8-80 so it's merely 41 years old!
overall length is 9" or 203mm, condition is very good.

I'd probably be trying to make one out of an open-top, with Liquid Aluminum and a hand-carved mold. Wouldn't turn out so great, I presume.

I have two of them, purchased one because I thought it would be marked Reynolds and it wasn't, then actually did get the one that I know is a Reynolds. I'll need to assess whether or not I need the first one for a second build I have in mind but I doubt it, so I'll check it out within a couple of days (it's over in storage on my parents' property). Should be a 27.2 that's in need of a bit of polishing.

I reached out to Hilary recently. Apparently, he is retiring and sold off a lot of what he had.

I have one with a flat top like what @unworthy1 mentioned. If I recall correctly mine is 27.0 and though it is aluminum, it is heavier than some steel seatposts I've seen. I'll try to post a photo

Somewhat tangential, but I remember SquidPuppet had a custom seat post machined out of 6061 aluminum rod stock. If a confident machinist started with 1-1/16" rod, turned down one end and bored out the other, that could be a way forward...

Looks like there are at least two requests here and several replies I have a 27.2 SR flat top. Looks to have J79 as date code. Does have scratching.
If anyone still needs one after the original requests and offered have been sorted, PM me.

iab Sorry I had to hold onto mine. Here's one that just came up on Ebay UK. I've worked with the guy before and shipment is prompt and secure. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I have unworthy's SR. And I'll probably buy the really expensive one that Kilroy outed. Please don't drive up the price.

I don't know if you bought already one.
I have this one pictured, it is a 27.2 mm, 230 mm long.
Has some ugly marks and at the insertion end is like somebody bite it (not mines).
That end is a little oval, going from 26.96 to 27.28 or so.
maybe you can cut a little and make it look better, even that part goes in the seat tube.
let me know if you are interested.
18$ shipped

Make sure that's aluminum alloy. It really looks like steel and all of the Reynolds I've seen have been closed at the top.
