Panniers - Kirtland/Arkel and others

Go on tour with these lovely time capsules!

First on display: a set of kelly-green front and rear Kirtland Tour Paks. Made in the USA and built to last, with metal stiffeners. All zippers still work! Including some Arkel rain covers for the rears. The fronts are easy enough to put your gear inside of ziplocs inside of the bags, which is what I used to do. For those who've never experienced a nice set of Kirtlands, note they snap together so you can carry two in one as a sort of suitcase. It's really handy for travel or camping. Asking $150 $120 shipped for the set. That won't get you a set of two on evilbay, but you can get the full set of 4 here.

REAR:

FRONT:

Or, for the budget conscious, I have a set that sits over the platform of the rear rack. Buckles securely in place. All zippers work. Asking $25 shipped. SOLD

Will take Venmo (preferred), bitcoin, money order, google cash app, cash in an envelope, or (if you must), paypal F&F. If price seems unreasonable, make me a reasonable offer.

Price drop. $125 for the Kirtlands, $25 for the no-name saddlebag-style set SOLD the blue saddlebag set. I thought for sure someone would want the green Kirtlands at least! They are time capsules.

Bikes: See my albums. I find that listing them here messes up searching.

I can't take it anymore.
I've been an Ortlieb guy since 1986, but these will just look adorable on my lavender Cannondale ST600.
Easter-egg tour!
PM sent.
cheers -mathias

Hi Mathias. I saw your message come in, but i canont respond privately due to admin restrictions for private message.

I did not see that you had purchased them. I was interested in purchasing them myself. I had this same set up for a cross country tour back in 81. I still have the 79' Puch but not the green Kirtlands. I have it in mind to replace them. I would like to do a tour down the CA coast to Eroica in Cambria in September on the the old bike with the old set up.

email me at curtisjshaw@gmail.com if you want to sell them.
Thanks. Curtis

Hi Mathias, I received the package of the front and rear Kirtland panniers in the mail yesterday. They look great! Great transaction with you. Thank you very very much. They will be back on tour again in the Spring with pictures to follow.

Now I just need the Kirtland Handlebar bag to go with them. If anyone has the Kirtland Tour Pak handlebar bag with the map pocket on top please reach out. Kelly green preferably.
