FS '86 Paramount 55cm

Too many bikes here in the shop, and again the War Department is stirred up! So this one needs to go. I bought it last year from California for $450 and never even put it together, It still has some of the packing left on the parts. It came without a seat and brake calipers, but I have a set of new Shimano brake calipers that I send along with it. So the offer is $450 for this one. If that price doesn't float yet boat make mean offer, cause it needs to leave one way or another. Pics here:

Bike as it sits now, tri color paint with matching Michelin tires.

SLX frame tubing

Spidel headset

Dura ace front hub with new wheel

Sun mistral rims are new

Rear mech: 105
More pics to come

More pics:

Campy crank Athena?

Tri color rear hub with new mistral rim

Cinelli bars

Dura Ace brake levers

Cinelli birds eye stem

Seat post and front Dura ace skewer
If I had not gotten two better fitting frames in the last month I might try to keep it but I'm a little scared of the War Department being riled up over too many bikes. PM me smiles, MH

It looks bigger than 55cm. Or is it 55 ctc? Nice deal though.

$450 is much less than the value of the parts on that.

Well folks,
I didn't build it I just bought it! I thought I wanted another Paramount but this one is a bit too big, so it will go, either in a complete form or in parts. I would prefer to not tear it apart so I have offered it up here. Smiles, MH

That’s a very patriotic build and a great price. (Considers what can be sold to make room…)

Folks,
That didn't take long! I'm hoping the War Department will calm down before the two Italians show up in the shop. Thanks for looking. Smiles, MH

Haha, War Department.

And yes it sounds like some of the deals I make. Selling one bike and two more arrive to replace it.

I hope to get the 1991 OS model that I got from him posted soon. I’m building it with a Shimano 600 Tri-color group.
BTW, since these were primarily sold as framesets, the hodgepodge of parts is not unusual.
Cheers,
Van

@Senior Rider 00
Too kind of you. I can't wait to see the builds of both bikes!
Lynn is gonna have a fun one when he gets the bike. It will get boxed up tomorrow and be on it's way.
One of the Italian frames will be leaving soon so hopefully the War Department will be a bit calmer. The real job is starting to kick up so I may be a bit slow to the forum for while but I will try to keep up. Smiles. MH
