WTB: Dura Ace 7402 levers w/ good hoods & DA 7400 pedals

Figured I'd ask here before dropping my money elsewhere. I'm looking for a set of 7402 levers with nice hoods. Anyone willing to let go of the ones in your parts box?! Adding WTB 7400 pedals as well.

Good luck, a lot of us have fought this battle. There aren’t repos & the used ones are extremely pricey. I gave up & used later model levers.
Cheers,
Van

Yep. Perhaps time to look at creating a mold and getting some quality reproductions going.

Except it’s not just a shortage of hoods. Pretty rare to find a set of levers in excellent shape that only need hoods.
The lever blades take a real beating and can’t really be refinished other than stripping and polishing, and the body surround chrome plating pickles and peels very easily.
Not surprising, then, that the price of an excellent set of levers has jumped from $80 or so two years ago to double that today. Or more.

Personally, I’ve moved to BL-R600 lever sets. Similar look with more robust construction and hoods are available today for under $15.

I imagine you could sell them! I was looking for these awhile back too.

alexihnen I have a pair that I may be willing to get rid of. I have a pair of 6207 levers I could use on the bike instead, since I like the look of them better (I have always been a sucker for "drilled" levers since SR levers BITD). I think that you owned these before, since they came off a Masi 3V I bought from you a couple of years ago. Let me know if interested, and I will send pics.
BTW, the hoods are in great condition, not sticky or anyting. there is a small, call it a chunk, missing from the front of the hood just above the chrome part. Sorry for the out of focus pic, but I hope you can get an idea of the size and shape of the blemish. Let me know what you think they would be worth to you, and we can talk after that.

Smallish gouge in hood. You can see the "color shifting depending on the light" Masi 3V just next to them in the pic.
