FS: 1990 Davidson Impulse (57cm C-T)

For sale is an exquisitely preserved custom Davidson bicycle. Purchased years ago from the second owner, this machine was treated gently, abuse-free and has always lived in a climate controlled environment. It didn't need excessive cleaning but as I do with every refresh or restoration, I gladly gave it that bringing it down to the bare frame and building it back up, piece by piece, with new elements throughout (housing, cables, hoods, tires, bar tape, grease and oil).
The legendary Shimano Dura-Ace 7400 groupset was nothing but a delight to bring back to life. The components are akin to functional artwork being exceptionally gorgeous in their finish, deadly precise in their operation and of the highest caliber during their era.
This one came out just about flawless. Super clean, brilliant luster in the pearlescent paint and chrome that is simply extraordinary all around.
It's not a New Old Stock bicycle, but it’s about as close as you can get.

That is one SWEET bike. My Impulse is pretty much one of my best rides out on the road. The new owner is going to be really happy!

Thanks for the kind remarks!
It's funny, I didn't think my Pinarello could be topped until I rode this one. This is such a lively bike.

Thanks for the kind remarks! It really is everything you've stated. One very clean, very capable machine!
The place where I shot the images for this bike are at a nexus of a regular road, a shared use path, the railroad tracks where people are walking on and a crossroads where numerous homeless encampments and "goat paths" through vegetation all intersect. Basically, a very busy area and where many, many sketchy individuals are wandering about, 24/7. It's the first time I've ever brought a friend along to a shoot. But, when I do this, I get very into the shooting experience and stop paying attention to anything or anyone else around me. An oblivious guy with nice photography equipment and a high end bike seem like a good recipe for potential conflict. So, my friend was there just to watch my back. It all worked out well and I also feel like this was a pretty great backdrop for the bike.
