1970's Vintage Campagnolo Record Pedals Good Condition 9/16" Paturaud Clips 432 Grams
For sale is a pair of 1970's vintage Campagnolo Record Superleggeri pedals in good condition. Has English 9/16"x20 threading and French Paturaud toe clips and straps. Both pedals spin easily, are pretty clean, and are ready to be used. Clips and straps are both in good shape. Straps are thick and durable. Dust caps show very little wear. Payment by PayPal f/f.

These look like the 2nd generation Super Record, non-titanium spindle version.
That puts production close to 1980, if memory serves. Fair price, nonetheless.

A lot of folks confuse Superleggeri with Super Record . As far as I know , the Super Record were Ti spindle pedals. There were two , that I know of , different variations in the cages. Drillium Dude pointed out to me that the early ones had a “pointy” peak on the end of the pedal and the later ones were more rounded. I have both styles , also a few sets of Ti spindle pedals . These are my favorite pedals.

So, looks like I'm fine just calling these Record pedals. Isn't that name interchangeable with Superleggeri?

I think 1037 Record pedals were earlier with steel cages. Black anno alloy cages were 1037/a and were referred to Record Superleggeri. Different generations.

the superleggero after the change to the reinforced webbing stayed very much The same, the identification stamping got bigger eventually as shown on the sale pedals, that is it.

Cleaned up the straps a little more and found that they are Paturaud also. I'll come up with strap measurements later today.

I have a black anodized pair also, same cage format. that I won from an eBay auction - poorly described. Note the small Campagnolo identification stamping.
I did not bother earlier this year to bid on a pair of raw aluminum con denti pedals- THOSE I had never seen. I am sure they fetched big money.
