I imagine it would be easier to sell if the two were separated. I attempted it once. That was enough.

You mean separating the hub and the cassette? Two chains whips does it without a lot of drama…at least it did for me.

I think you might be mistaking it for a freewheel. It’s a cassette with just the first cog threaded. As Doc said above, two chain whips in opposite directions allows you to unscrew the first cog.

i think that’s right?
