60cm 1989 Trek 520 frameset (modified and refurbished)
Greetings!
Up for sale is a 24” 1989 Trek 520 frameset with numerous modifications. I acquired this from the framebuilder who originally did the modifications, but unfortunately for me the sizing is a little off.
Originally constructed with True temper tubes, the entire front end was replaced with Columbus SP and silver brazed with new matching lugs. Rebuilt as a full-service touring/rando/gravel rig. The frame has a through the top tube cable guide and a full compliment of braze-ons to accommodate direct mount fenders and racks. 72 ST/HT angles 44cm chain stays. The fork is custom built to match the geometry with a wide fork crown to allow 38c tires. The anti studs in the rear have also been lowered to accept 700c wheels. It has been powder coated in ‘Super Mirror Blue’ and fully prepped and chased.

TT: 57.5cm c-c
HT: 20cm
72 degree ST/HT angles
44cm chainstays
68mm English BB
27.2mm seatpost
1” threadless steerer
Asking $500. Sale includes 1” threadless Stronglight headset.
It’s never been built up in this present form and is essentially a new, custom-built frameset!
