Wanted English Cottered BB Axle for Double Chainrings
Cottered axle needed, English diameter for double chainrings. Bayliss Wiley 14? others?
The information I have found is confusing and often contradictory. For example the Classic Lightweights BB axle length chart lists the overall length of the Baylis-Wiley 14 as 129mm, but my second edition Sutherlands lists it as 127mm. The Classic Lightweights chart says the TCD axle 4 is for a single chainring, but the Bike Recylery in their listing for a complete bottom bracket says that it is for triple chainrings, but looking at the spec's in my Sutherlands manual it looks like it might work for a double.
Any help unwinding this ball of string is appreciated.
I also need a fixed cup. I have a Bayliss Wiley adjustable cup and lockring.
Thanks,
Brent

I'm responding to remind myself to look. Seems like I remember something loose in the bin.

Raleigh Katsaris has the Phillips F113. I use it with double chainset on my Grubb:

Ah, Brent, I knew I should have included more stuff when I sent that crankset! I have a few cottered spindles:

One is a Baylis Wiley mod. 14:

If you can figure out the exact dimensions you need, I can check the others (most of which are Phillips and TDC with a few with no mfg markings).

Chrome, but I'm not particular for this build. I'll ask Neal for the BW #14 spindle but if you could find a fixed cup that would be great.
Thanks,
Brent

I've got a generic chrome Made in England fixed cup and a matching spindle of 127 length. As Neal suggests, the devil is in the offset details. Hard to know without having one.
Lemme know.
