1974/1975 Atala Pista - chrome!!

For sale, I have an Atala Pista with Roberts road fork (and the aluminum fork that came with the bike). Overall chrome is decent, except near the BB. Although it looks very crusty, I don't believe the chrome loss/oxidation to be structural. Overall chrome is pretty good. Looks nice in the sun, and with light. Frameset measures 23" c-t seat tube and 22" c-c top tube. Is drilled for recessed front (both forks) and rear (nutted). Seatpost that came with bike is 26.4. I'm not convinced that is correct, but it worked for me without any issues.

I did include pictures of stem/bar combo as well as brake lever and caliper which can be included if desired for additional. Frameset will come with headset and BB (cartridge, road variety campy Italian threaded), and seatpost regardless.

I prefer local pickup, but will ship for small materials fee plus actual shipping cost.

Apologies for the mediocre pictures, feel free to ask any questions or for more.

Asking $475 for frame/fork extra aluminum fork/HS/BB/seatpost
- $50 to add stem/bars/grips (if purchasing frame)
- $70 to add gran compe shot lever (designed to work from either direction) and brake caliper (if purchasing frame)

Thanks for looking!

Bump with new lower price. Also, please don't let the chrome loss scare you. It's mainly chrome/plating loss and difficult to picture. Make a reasonable offer!

Interesting frame. Any idea of max tire size and can you post pics of the rear brake bridge?

I am not 100% sure as to what tires will fit, but I would wager 28s just fine. Since it is a replacement fork, I believe clearance in the front is more than would have been on the stock fork. I was running tires that measured 25 with plenty of clearance. I can put a wheelset with tires that measured almost 27 a bit later.

Ask and you shall receive:

Interesting drilling, so this was designed to take a rear brake and isn't a post-production mod.

I'm going to hold off for now but this is tempting..

Bump. Make me a reasonable offer. Feel free to ask questions, or for pic requests. Would rather sell it here than on CL/eBay if I can help it!

Final bump

$425 new price + actual shipping costs. Would prefer this go to a forum member. Save me from the eBay listing!
