WTB: Various items for projects #2

Revisiting & revised: For the two winter projects for my wife’s relatives-in-law, I am now partly through reassembly, and I see the need to source a few things. What do you have? I doubt any one member has it all, to save on shipping, but you never know. I figure I’ll find yet more needs, but for now...

(A) 25.0mm seat post, alloy: I can go with either a straight post, or upgrade to a micro-adjusting. No need for a $$$$ rare Campagnolo one. SOURCED

(B) A pair or two of mounting clamps for T/A-style frame-mount water bottle cages. I think I'm OK on cages, just shy on mounting hardware. SOURCED

(C) Anyone decided NOT to use a set of Soma long cage plates (or does someone else make them?) for a Campagnolo NR Rear derailleur? I keep waiting for Soma Fab to have a flash sale, but maybe someone bought a set and decided "not for me". SOURCED. Who knew there would be TWO forum members with sets of these laying around?

(D) Still looking for a nice set of Weinmann (or Die-Compe copy) centerpull hanger brackets, F/R. with quick-release (see photo below). SOURCED, I ended up with similar-looking Shimano's from eBay.

I do have a 25mm seatpost, but it is one of those Campy things, aero style. Can send pics if you like, the $$$ should not too bad, or trade stuff?

Never hurts to check into that! Aero is a bit modern for a 1973 Gitane, but's not a "noticeable" thing. I just figured that a 25.0mm Campy would be specific to something more rare, like my Vitus 979, so I presumed very expensive and I'm already running over budget (who am I kidding... ain't no budget)

Here are pics of the 25mm Campy aero style seatpost.

You know,I'm thinking about this, and I think I'll have to pass. Nice post, I have one on my Masi and I need to measure it, but the owner on this particular project does have the seat set low enough (on a 25" frame) that the "minimum exposure amount" of the aero portion probably would mean the seat set too high. A shame, however. Should have thought of that before. I might have to run a 25mm straight post and re-use the original clamp.

I have an old style "globe" campy in 25 I bought for my Graftek. But, someone (not me) anodized it Gold.

Who does that?

I could either pay $35 to bring it back to silver, or sell.

Message me if interested.

PM's being sent. Still keeping options open (so if you discover anything in your stashes, people...)

I guess Die-Compe looks Weinmannesque enough. I need a set but someone else PM's me with a rear unit. Maybe...

As someone on another topic recommend a product called Jestco "Anodize Coating Remover" and I just got some, so I can strip two cranksets whose finish looks bad... just as soon as warm enough to work outdoors... de-golding is an option.

VO is out of them, but there are a couple $11 listings on eBay.

Thanks! But the one VO product that I've been disappointed with -- flimsy! I discarded the set I had bought. I think there's a reason that they had these on closeout for so long. When you tighten the bolt, the end tabs just fold up.

It's what I've always used on every bike, pre-bosses. Never had your problem, but I do use a longer bolt when mounting before switching over to the short one for both clamps. Before that, I polish the leading edge so they don't dig into frame paint. It's a process. Seems like the TA tabs would work as well than the VO stainless cages I use, but maybe not.
