The Tommasini is ready!

Finally got the bar tape on and took her for a quick spin around the block today. Some of you may remember the thread where I solicited opinions on the tape and cables. I ended up using blue as I thought white tape, in addition to the hassle of keeping clean, would just give too much of a washed out look. I actually decided on yellow (Drillium) but couldn't find the golden yellow that I wanted. I found a set of darker blue tires on another bike and swapped out the light blue tires.

I don't think the copper colored bars work for me so will start looking for a standard silver set. Very happy with the shakedown ride except the Regal saddle feels like a brick. I'm hoping some fine tuning and bike shorts, instead of jeans will help that out.

Also had to lose the white hoods, as they are too big. I guess they must be for C-Record or Chorus.

Very nice, apart from the cable routing. The new Regals are harder than the Girardi models. Seems to be a white saddle quirk, the new black saddles are not as bad.

Looks great.

I prefer the cable routing on the rider side of the bars, but other than that she's a beauty.

I think the blue tape looks good. I normally try to avoid matching the bar tape to the frame color since it is hard to get a good match, but with the blue fade paint the tape really blends in.

Where did you find copper colored handlebars?

My Moser is set up with the cables the same way. I may try over the bar.

The copper colored bars came with a used bike I got about 10 years ago. The logo is worn off (yellow) so I'm not sure what make they are.
