June 13, Twin Cities C&V Ride (L'Utefisk)

-DATE CHANGE- NOW ON FOR SATURDAY JUNE 27

WILL OPEN NEW THREAD (since I don't know how to change the title...)

The honorable Gomango and I are preparing a Twin Cities C&V ride on Saturday June 13th.

This is an inclusive event (routes designed for all levels of participants), taking routes between White Bear Lake and Stillwater.

Routes will be as short as 35 miles of mainly well maintained paths (easier), to as long as 60 miles of bluffs and lakes (moderate, not difficult). Mix and match options to suit your enthusiasm. Cue sheets will cover all routes, but likely we will ride as a couple groups.

This is a no sag, "self supported" ride, with many food and beverage options along the way (we will suggest the stops and meet up points). Not a competition, instead a chance to show off your hardware and mix with oddballs that your significant other doesn't understand.

Leaving from WBL and heading to Stillwater as the rest stop (lunch somewhere TBD downtown), then back along a different route for post ride libations along the shores of beautiful WBL.

So.... Who's interested?

Expected sites along the way

Thanks for posting this Pete!

I really like these routes as they offer us some of the prettiest views in our state.

We encourage all of our c&v buddies to join us, as there will be something for everyone in these two beautiful routes.

Challenge if you want it or cruise along at a leisurely pace. Both are just fine.

Now, the big decision will be which bike to ride.

Really depends on the summer school schedule.

Sounds like a great ride. Unfortunately it's about 1700 miles away, for me. I'd like to see that part of the country(especially on a bike). Have fun

Going to do my best to make it but a little to far out to make a commitment.

Thanks for for the leg work in setting it up. Looks like a fun ride.

Please let me know about your bike needs.

Sometimes it is difficult for "out of towners" to bring a bike.

Happy to let you use anything I have here if we can make it fit for you.

That would be outstanding if you could make it.

I would have to think you would enjoy riding in this area.

You could give Pete a chance to stretch his legs a bit.

Of course you are always welcome here.

That beauty didn't rack up many miles here before it found its home in your capable hands.

I'm "interested," but it's a ways away and a ways away.

The positive is that Junior lives in St.Paul now.

I haven't seen Pete in 25 years or so...

I'll wing it. There's a vintage car event same weekend planned for but might make the escape to this ride. Coming all that way probably would like to take in some additional mileage. Nice scenery!
