Chorus? Croce? Record? And why? IDK.

Thanks,

Jim

8 speed cassette or 9+?

Looks like 8-speed Record to me (oil clip). Identical to Chorus, but QRs are Record (with rings).

Pre EXA Record, I think.

They're 8s..

This era Campy always throws me off. In general D ring skewers are Record but in lieu of those it's impossible to tell sometimes.

Seeing the splines/freehub would tell the tale.

Chorus Hubs.

I highly doubt someone swapped out the Chorus skewers for Record. Note the lack of little rubber nub on yours, and visible on Jim's. I'm sticking with pre-EXA Record until I see the freehub body.

Would the front dust caps have anything to do with it? Catalog scans seem to suggest Record fronts have to old 'C Record' style big plastic cap?

I'm trying to ID the components on a possible purchase bike...seller claims it's all Record. I know the crank is NOT but the brake calipers definitely are.
