I saw what was on display in Portland a while back.
I had mixed views of how the bikes were all suspended from the ceiling.
Some interesting bikes.
It will be interesting to see how strongly the more eclectic bikes will be pursued.
Some will no doubt attract many potential buyers.

Yow. I have that book Cyclepedia. Some of those bikes I'd love to own. At least one I actually do. Some are curiosities. Some make me wonder what the designer was thinking. Now I wonder why it is up for auction now.

I am not sure the auction venue selected is going to provide the greatest return.
The Bohnam's Confente sold a bit ago for $5,800. plus fees, with correct parts, ($500 to 1,000?) it sold on ebay very recently for $11,700.

I don't think I'll be bidding, but I will recommend the book: much cheaper and an asset for the coffee table.

The Rene Herse is from 1984. A few bikes had aero levers by then. After zooming in on the levers, I don't believe them to be Tektros though.

Has anyone tried to order the catalog? They give an email address, but it bounces back...got a feeling that the auction catalog, beyond the book and less than the bikes, would be a great thing to have...

I did buy a copy when I saw the exhibit. I liked the book better, the bikes suspended in space just did not work for me.
The exhibit was crowded, you had to tune out all the people behind the bikes.
