Minutes after buying an old BSA bicycle I noticed something strange........ ;)
It is licenced as a dog! Check out the bicycle at http://oldbikes.741.com

This just shows that each vintage bicycle has its own unique history, which in my opinion, must be preserved. This is what I think may have happened: Bicycle licences were law in South Africa untill recently, but were similarly priced to the licences needed for dogs. I can only conclude that when the owner wanted to purchase his bike licence, the authorities didn't have any in stock, so they gave him a dog licence and told him that it would suffice! I can hardly belive that it could have been a case of mistaken identity! :D

Anyone else have any amusing attachments on their old bikes?

Interesting. What do you feed it?

No, but you just gave me an idea for the old license tags off my dogs! Time to start something interesting for the next owner my bikes to find. Some are well qualified for a "dog" tag. Don
