Aww Crap.
Put some different wheels on my Trek 400 Elance. Went for a little ride. It was nice. Got home, put the bike up on the stand, and I noticed ... I ran over some dog poop. In the tire tread, on the rim, on the brake. Yuck.

Where I live we have thousands of non-migratory Canada Geese. If you've ever heard the expression "like s**t through a goose", you can picture what the local MUP around our park and river is like.

Around here, the biggest problem is horsesh*t on the bike paths, but that's the price of riding through the countryclubbish suburbs.

I live directly across the street from the park. We are constantly vigilant to see that no geese nest on our property - they are pretty easy to discourage before eggs are laid. if that should happen, you have to live with washing your walk down daily.

haha... the Canadian geese poopity. Tire savers accumulate it along with feathers. Try dodging it too with those bold guys blocking the paths and trail. Mean birds!
Though last evening ride was awesome. I was 'honking' a hill (pun eh?) and a beautiful large turkey was in my pathway! At crawling speed on my Botchia ( 5 speed / single 52 chainring with 21T as my lowest rear) this turkey was just observing me. I had to stop mid-climb and admire it. It just moseyed to the other side and into the brush. To get riding again, I had to loop down a bit, get into the toe-clips and restart my climb. As I near the same spot, another turkey flushed out from the roadside and scared the 'crap' out of me!

As someone with three dogs, dog poop doesn't scare me.
