RIF bicycle stands

I'm afraid that I work at a place that has lost a lot of people in the past year - a long running RIF (reduction in force). One outcome is that there is a lot of surplus and redundant stuff around and in the trash bins. Add to that the move to reduce paper files in favor of softcopy files and you get a lot of empty file cabinets and the frames that used to be in the drawers holding hanging files. I've grabbed several out of the trash bin and converted them to bike stands for my garage.

The photo shows one pair of frames and the wooden legs and a finished stand. Dimensions are arbitrary but I've found 18" long legs are pretty stable. My three road bikes have 28mm section tires so all the frames are set 28mm apart - nice and snug. I've also milled a slot in the wood to ease the tire into though the tire must remain off the floor - full weight on the stand for stability.

I though someone might find the idea useful.
