.
...I just put blue bar tape on a 60's Legnano that I worked way too hard on to sell. Now I find out it's flipper tape.

hah. funny- this came about as a guy was looking for some bike recommendations and I posted a local CL ad for a trek that had blue handle bar tape (which led us down a strange path). turns out treks look pretty nice with blue tape!

After looking this bike over more closely... I am surprised at how original the thing is.

The shifters allow for indexed or friction shifting... I think that puts the bike in the mid to late 80's... not sure. I think the tires, bar tape, and chain are factory too. And the chain measures on the money. No noticeable wear to gears or cassette. No [even fine] cracks in the tires ether. But I am not sure I can salvage the bar tape (it has a damaged area).

I use Selle Italia Q-Bik SE Saddle's. My butt loves them... and why argue with an ass. So I am stuck with the black saddle. The 360 has blue cable housings (and they seem OK) but I might get some new SS cables to feed in the housings and also for the shifters/derailleur's. I will find a blue bottle cage (I only use one)... and likely also order in some flipper-blue handlebar tape.

I did find the time today to take the 360 for a spin. It is my size. It does ride nice. The shifting was flawless from the beginning. The brakes took a little adjustment... but are fine now. Wheels are true. I'd just finished up a Trek 1400 and was hoping I could keep the 360 as a winter project. But who am I kidding.

I am a big fan of Treks and the Japanese made steel bikes. Of course... the Bridgestone RB-1 is legendary. Hope you post some more pictures. Does the Bridgestone also use Continental's?

Which is one of the main reasons he won. Nobody who drove Hondas was competitive in this year's Indy.
