Vintage Raleigh Treton Mountain Tour

Hi, I'm new to cycling and just got my first vintage bike (also my first bike not from Walmart). It's an 80's (I think) Raleigh Teton Mountain Tour that was used by the police, and I was wondering if anyone had any info on it, specifically when it was made. I'd also like to know other people's experiences with Raleigh mountain bikes of that era, as there's a real lack of info on Raleigh mtbs out there.

It has a Shimano Light Action rear derailleur by the way; is that any good?

Here's some pictures, it cost me $90 and came with new tires:

It looks like a fine bike for $90.

Probably later than 1986 but not by much: Raleigh Catalog Database Archive

Shimano light action derailleurs are a low-cost but well-made component.

Yeah, it's not in the catalogs.

Thanks JAG410, he wanted $120 but took $90. Good thing too, $90 was all I had.

I think I might have found out what year it is. This VERY similar bike was made in 1987: 1987 Raleigh Seneca

I think the '86 has slightly different logos.
