By "needs tubes" does this seller mean tire tubes?

Minor repair??

10 Wheels 06-16-15 02:54 PM

Hope you snap it up before it snaps.

Where's the guy that was trying to alter his CF forks with a torch? He'll have this thing good-as-newish in no time.

USAZorro 06-16-15 03:28 PM

I presume the seller only mentions it from a sense of duty. :thumb:

The 700cm thing is quite impressive though.

Don't you guys know there's only two conditions on Craigslist? "Rides great," and "needs work."

repechage 06-16-15 08:20 PM

That is major corrosion in and on the seat tube, scary.
I like the paint, did not Cannondale do a Campagnolo equipped bike with a very similar color scheme?

Dave Cutter 06-16-15 08:27 PM

A little finger nail polish should fix that right-up.

OldsCOOL 06-16-15 09:28 PM

I thought the two conditions were "like new" and "completely perfect except..."

Simple fix. This is why they invented duct tape.

Looks like they almost cleanly ripped off the integrated derailleur hanger. I'd be nervous about whatever else happened to cause that as well.

Spaghetti Legs 06-17-15 07:04 AM

Aww c'mon, that's for internal cable routing!

oddjob2 06-17-15 07:06 AM

Will duct tape fix the dent in the chainstay?

Deontologist 06-17-15 08:24 AM

What's up with the "horizontal" dropouts? Looks like that would just put a ton of unnecessary stress on the dropout.

noglider 06-17-15 09:25 AM

This is so painful.

The 'dent' in the chain stay was put there by the factory to provide crank arm clearance and doesn't need to be fixed. The hole in the seat tube is another matter.

You're right and I had a senior moment! :)
