Mystery mixte

Can anyone help identify this mixte? I has a R on the head badge and that is it. Someone painted it all black . I thought it was a Raleigh but the head badge doesn't match. I will try and get more pictures tomorrow.

you are not going to get much assistance from the forum with these photos.

the r could be for rampar, roddy or any number of other names.

looks to be an absolute bottom of barrel asian model, perhaps sold by a chain store.

Some better pics showing close ups of the lugs and dropouts would be very helpful. Are the wheels 26"? 26x 1 3/8 maybe?

The cottered crank and centerpull brakes make it look like a mid to later '70 lower end bike but I'll hold of on casting into the department store dungeon until we see more pics.

Once I got a brand name to look for I have discovered it is a Raliegh Rampar r2 from '78 or so. Thanks for the replies. It should be a fun bike to redo.
