Is my beloved old bike worth anything

My old bike from college has been sitting in the garage and I'm hoping it's worth something.

I bought it used 20 years ago and I think it's a no-name. Where do you think it might have a serial number or other identifier? For some reason I think it might be German.

It's an adult-size girl's bike with a unique twin-tube sissy bar that runs continuously down from the front and across to the rear axle. I remember it was heavy.

I don't have a picture, but I thought someone might know whether it has any value.

Thanks

Most older bikes are most valuable when they are on the road. Take your bike in to the shop for a tune-up and start riding two or three days a week. In a few months, you will consider your bike to be one of your most treasured possessions.

Unfortunately chick bikes are not really worth much compared to their masculine counterparts.
Sounds like you have a "Mixte" frame.
Search the web for mixte bikes.
Difficult to know what you have there without a make, model, S/N or pic.

Enjoy

Mixtes may not command as high a price as gents' frames, but they're pretty popular out here; every time I rebuild one for sale it just about flies out the door.

Yup, what he said. Minimum $75.00 if it is in presentable condition. More for a clean Moto or Peugeot. For some reason, the Berkeley chicks dig the french stuff. Coincidentally, most of the Berkeley chicks I've dealt with are hairier then 1950's movie monsters......connection, maybe? :D
