Tiny rear drop-out screws...
What might these small screws be officially called?
You know...the ones that insert into the rear drop-outs, and assure proper centering of the rear axle. Do any of the online suppliers sell them? |
Drop out screws , drop out adjusters. When they bend or break off, well I'd rather not speak those.
Maybe Hawleys, QBP or J&B might carry them. Some go to the hardware store and Cobb it together. |
Go to Dave Moulton's Bike Blog. Davesbikeblog.squarespace.com. There will be an ad on the right side for Stainlless Dropout Adjustment Screws. Looks like a reasonable price to me.

Got it...thanks!

Bicycle Classics has them.

I have some of those Campy plastic end ones, 80's, if interested. Short ones as I remember.
|
Huret dropouts take an odd size.

Thanks for the replies and offers!
I'll start at the hardware store, and see what they have in a 3mm size. |
I go to my hardware store and buy stainless ones and a stainless acorn nut loctited on for the "knob"

They come in different lengths

Another place to try is your local hobby store.
A lot of small metric hardware is used on radio control models. |
