He's here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress.

Reynolds 07-24-15 12:57 PM

That one looks bent to me.

noglider 07-24-15 12:57 PM

Yes, I think that fork is bent, if it is photographed from the side exactly.

rhm 07-24-15 12:59 PM

What makes this thread official?

nothing although others could use it for the same question instead of making another thread

Nope. Not bent.

Rideable? Probably. Safe? Yes, I think so. Try it and see if you like it.

Why do people bother to ask??? Stand over the bike and look directly down the side of the headtube with the steering pointed straight ahead. If the fork is bent you can see it easily. The only problem is if the fork is bent just a little. Otherwise you'll spot a bent for immediately.

If I was selling a frame I'd publish such a picture to show that it wasn't bent.

End of story.

Start an official "Is this fork bent" thread??..... Please Nooooo!!...no...nnno...no noooo!!.....
The liberal sprinkling of bent fork posts through each season, works well enough to keep most of us adequately entertained.....

I think I saw the most accurate statement posted a couple weeks ago somewhere else and it was something along the lines of "All forks in photos are bent until proven otherwise."

You can take 10 pictures of the same fork and have it look bent in at least half of them.

Very bent:
