Jerry's Klein

So I've been rewatching Seinfeld now that it's on Hulu Plus, and I've noticed some oddities about Jerry's bike. Ordinarily, he has a green Klein MTB with a black, non suspension fork:

However, I noticed that for a few episodes late in season 4, the fork was all of the sudden on backwards!

Then, at the outset of season 5, he all of the sudden has a Cannondale!

That only lasted a few episodes though, before the Klein was back with the fork corrected. Anyone else notice this?

Too funny! I've only watched a few episodes and when it was prime time.

That's studio stuff but would be a great q. to asked him.

Curious as well if he has a Votec made early Porsche mtn. bike. He's a fanatic of the marque.

I was aware of the switch to Cannondale, but am not astute enough to pick out the fork issue. I was probably laughing too hard. I'm one of those fans who can carry on a scripted conversation.

I read the bike belong to Kramer in real life.

This subject appears as a thread with some regularity. The stories are different each time though.

Didn't notice it, as once I realized it was a mountain bike, I went back to watching Elaine and thinking .....

Why are we assuming the fork is on backwards, instead of just the bars being turned around?

I didn't know that about the C'dale. That's awesome. I'm the biggest C'dale aluminut around, and even I've got to admit that's a downgrade in nameplate, even if an upgrade in the actual bikes. The C'dale is a Killer-V.

Not to be a big ol' bike geek, but how would the famous Green Klein fit Jerry and then the Cannondale. The Cannondale looks much bigger.

You cant put a fork on backwards. :)

I dont recall seeing the Cannondale. It's good to know they picked decent bikes for stage props.

They're always walking past a specialized showroom, too. I think George had a specialized mountain bike in the apt he shared with Susan.

Maybe the real Kramer; surely not that tall gangly Cosmo.

Besides, Jerry is a well-known as a car guy. Very heavy on the German cars.
