takhion-esque track frame identification!

Hello there!

I thinking on buying this very lightweight track frame that is very similar in looks to those beautiful takhion pursuit frames from the urss 80's. I was told that brazilian cycling federation bought four of those frames in the late 90's for competing at a Pan Am and that's it, no more relevant info. The guy who holds the frame believed for some mysterious idea that this was a colnago frame and to me it makes absolute no sense since i've never heard of italian frames with similar geometry. My guess is south american, but I don't believe the italian threaded bb would match.

It is a 26.8mm seatpost and i could not find anything stamped on the dropouts neither on the bottom bracket or fork. Any ideas?

No idea here, but that's an interesting-looking track bike in quite nice shape.

Is that paint obscuring the lugs or a really, really poor job of cleaning up after fillet brazing?

poor job indeed. the story that was told me is that those frames have been sized down to brazilian female athletes for this pan am/olympics competition after arriving here. I think this matches since all the other lugs look a lot cleaner but those at the head tube. odd.

Pursuit frames came in some very odd looking configurations.

Most from the 80's era seemed to have the TT sloping downward from the seat cluster to the head tube. The one your looking at almost looks like they leveled the TT from it's original configuration of a sloping TT. Odd, but nothing would surprise me when it comes to pursuit frames.

It does have similarities with the Russian made Takhion's. The handlebar placement on those is very cool!

How much does the owner want for it?

it is in fact very similar to takhions, but some differences are spotted at the first sight. and it hasn't those perforated petals under the bb. the ticket is something close to usd 1200,00 with those mavic wheels, sugino super mighty crankset, 3ttt stem and other components to come. track bikes are rather unaffordable here in south america.
