Info on "Old school" by Rizzato brothers?

Hi everyone, not too long ago I came across a local Italian guy who's a vintage Road bike enthusiast and he also sells vintage Italian bikes here.

I'd like to know more info about a bike called "Old school" made by the Rizzato brothers. Has anyone came across one or know information about this bicycle? He is selling it at about 700usd. Is worth the price?

The acid etched head tube states something different.
Looks nice, reworked, it's done.
I really cannot tolerate the image angles though, they do nothing for me and are of poor lighting too.

That's a cliché bike. Too many 'points of flair' for my taste.

Build one yourself.....it's easy.

@repechage I have to agree with you, the photos are annoying to look at. @miamijim I have to admit though, the frameset does look attractive to me. Thanks guys for your input.

I am thinking of having a rack, set of fenders on a vintage steel for commuting and light touring. I have another option which is a Legnano gran premio at the same price. Seller claimed that it's 1960s gran premio. Would a legnano be better option?

Does anyone know if the Rizzato brothers referred to bear any relation to Cesare Rizzato, maker of Atala and Lygie cycles?

Nice frankenbike. $700 may be a touch on the high side. You could do similar cheaper if working on bikes were your thing. If not, money is irrelevant, good deal means you're happy with your purchase.

If you ever find out, please let me know. My dad actually bought me a Rizzato 10 speed around 1960. It was gold with campy and weinmann center pull brakes. Wish I had it today. My best friend's dad bought him a blue one at the same time. They probably got a deal on them. Can't find much online. Thanks

Hi Cirp,

This guy can ship his vintage bikes worldwide. I believe the bike is still in stock. You might want to take at look here: Old School ? size 55 [CB002-13] at S$ 900 | Giro d'Italia Vintage

Hope this helps!
