Color Me Impressed!

I ordered 2 Vittoria tires from Ribble just a week ago and they arrived today at my house in California. Not only what I ordered, but exactly what I wanted too.

2 weeks ago, I ordered a crankset from Chain reaction on a Tuesday night and it got to my door at noon on Friday. Ireland to Chicago in 2.5 business day, free shipping. Must be "folding space"...

My order took more like ten days, so I will curse Ribble to the day I die.

(Also, Vittoria tires - "Rallys" - so, my bad!)

I was at 22 business days...asked customer service about it and my tires miraculously appeared on the 23rd day.

I haven't heard that "color me" expression used in at least 30 years.

Ordered some chainrings from Ribble, they shipped July 22, got to my door yesterday, 14 days in transit.
I like Ribble, great place to order from if you don't need it overnight.

Got my Nitto Noodle and Technomic from Boulder Bicycle in 2 days -- although Colorado is right next to Kansas. Still, they delivered it on a Saturday.

I just got a pair of new Shimano 105 hubs in the mail from Ribble today. Six days from ship to delivery. Sixty five dollars for the pair.

Having ordered from all of them, Merlin has consistently been the quickest for me. But I still frequent Wiggle, Ribble, ChainReaction, and Probikekit. Seldom does any place in the UK deliver slower than Nashbar does. You'd think being in country that Nashbar would be fast. That's a rant for some other read though.

That was the Golden Age of drag racing. It was all about innovation and experimentation. I was a huge fan.

Now it's just about cubic corporate dollars and I've lost interest.
