New build! Very spoiled wife gets a Colnago townie...

Her bike is nicer than mine now!!

Powder coated frame (See previous comments for picts) and Full campy Group (with a few exceptions)

Fenders are the next step... I gave her a choice between a Light and a basket... she choose wisely

This looks awesome, lucky wife! Can you explain a bit about the handlebars? I don't think I've seen those before.

I'm building up a flat bar Super for my daughter.
The undecided issue is the type of thumb shifters to get ( or mounts )
I am sure she would like index... So I have some work to do.

Teach her the lost art of friction shifting.

Thumbies are still my first choice for flat bar shifters.

Let me know what you figure out because i would love an indexed Thumby for my Torpado... Have a look what Lugged Steel Bicycles, Wool Clothing, Leather Saddles & Canvas Bike Bags from Rivendell Bicycle Works has on offer... you might be able to mount an indexed bar-end shifter to one of their mounts... IF she isn't set on flat bars, i've seen brifters mounted on Nitto mustache bars pretty smartly...

BTW the bar-end shifter on my wife's bike is a 8 speed index'd campy... I got a set on ebay from England for $80usd

I might try, but I know my daughter.
I would rather have the bike used than sit.

I just ordered a set of Campagnolo Time-Trial 10 speed shifters. They are essentially just Syncro "III" downtube shifters on bar ends. You can swap out the Campy shift ring to use them with Campy 7/8/9 speed, whatever you want. They have an extra third spring (I think) to fix the issues that plagued the early Syncro and Syncro II shifters.

I'm curious about the top tube length on that Colnago. How does it fit her? Why not a Nitto Albatross?
