BCM or BMC?? What is it

Just finished restoring a bike I bought back in 1968-9, and put together from components. The bike shop where I bought the frame ( Reynolds 531 with their logo for $170) said it was made by Ron Kitchings. But when I tore it down and stripped the paint I discovered a stamp of BCM (not BMC) in the lug just above the steering fork that I had never seen before. Anybody ever hear of that?
By the way, I put a Stronglight cotterless crank, Nisi alloy wheels with double-butted steel spokes (which I later replaced with aluminum) and Shimano "Crane" rear derailler and Campignolo front Der. which, oddly, requires tension on the shifter to downshift. Was that typical of Campy?
This is my first post so it would be nice to get a comment or two. I tried to post an attachment of the finished job but couldn't figure out how!

BCM is Bocama, the company that made the lugs. Plenty of info on google.

Most Sun Tour front derailleurs were designed that way. I wasn't aware of Campagnolos that were, but it isn't a huge surprise.

Thanks. Was "Ron Kitchings" a manufacturer of frames?

fishline79-

Kitching was not a manufacturer of frames but he sold RonKit bikes and framesets manufactured for him by Cycles Bertin. He also, briefly, partnered in MKM cycles in Britain.

No, Kitching was a British importer and distributor. He partnered with Andre Bertin to produce frames and marketed an extensive line of cycling products under the "Milremo" brand:

Aluminum spokes??

Sorry, I just remembered the shifting arms are Campy but many years ago I replaced the front der. with a SUN TOUR! Aren't you the clever Dick! I'm 68 and I guess I'm getting a bit senile! Is Sun Tour the only reverse-action der. made?

That's what the man told me. The steel ones were rusting and they were thin and butted. The replacement spokes are thicker and haven't begun to show rust in 30 years.

I think that the new spokes are probably stainless steel.
