CLB brakes, how good are they at stopping.

I have some lower-level CLB sidepulls on one of my bikes. I don't know if it's the calipers or the guidonnet levers, but they are impressively powerful, as good as any dual-pivot caliper I've tried.

I had a set of CLB Professionel sidepulls on a Motobecane. They were exceptionally smooth, easy to centre with the special CLB wrench and gave very powerful and easily modulated braking. They were also weight weenie light.
