I don't think I've seen the Steelnovo before. Colnago is certainly not trying to emulate the old style with this frame!
I do like the seat tube decal, as a nod to the heritage.

So many cool details. Love the track dropouts, but the square ends look... unfinished? The way they seem to just... end?

Looking forward to the final product. Hopefully soon? Its been a decade of teasing! :innocent:

I'm not a huge fan of the traditional bullet or spear end the Italians do. Nothing wrong with them, just a bellybutton style, everyone has one. The scallop blending into the dropout face is also kind of blah. I do like a fishmouth, but it is a little too US centric.

So I looked at Learco Guerra's seat stay attachment and made a version of it for the dropouts. I played with rounded and square. I liked the contrast between the square and curves of the dropouts. Seems to me as more "functional". I suppose I could have extended the scallop to have a different proportion, maybe that would have floated your boat. And no doubt, rounded is another option, but you can't please everyone. :)
